Nestled in the heart of the enchanting Swiss Alps, the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz emerges as a true summer haven, effortlessly dispelling the notion that its allure is reserved solely for winter months. Offering a serene escape from the scorching heat, this iconic establishment allows visitors to bask in the delight of pleasant cool air while immersing themselves in a spectrum of captivating summer activities and events.

Summer in St. Moritz takes on an exhilarating rhythm, and Kulm Hotel positions itself as the epicentre of this vibrant season. From the prestigious St. Moritz Summer Polo Cup to invigorating trail running weekends, the hotel stands at the crossroads of action and relaxation. One remarkable highlight of the summer calendar is the renowned Festival da Jazz. For a full week, the air resonates with the harmonious melodies of jazz virtuosos from across the globe. Kulm Hotel's hallowed venues, such as the legendary Dracula Club and the venerable Sunny Bar, transform into intimate stages. The Sunny Bar, Switzerland's oldest sports bar, becomes the exclusive host of midnight concerts, adding a dash of nocturnal charm to the festivities.

Our recent visit was graced by the opulence of a recently renovated Deluxe Room. This resplendent room offered an arresting Lakeside view, complemented by a balcony. The room's spatial generosity was evident in the pine-clad walk-in wardrobe, providing ample hanging space. The expansive sitting area beckoned guests to relax, allowing them to soak in the panoramic vistas. Upon entering, the scent of pine enveloped us, setting the perfect tone for the visual splendour that lay ahead. We much mention their impressive pillow menu which offers every possible pillow option one could wish for. The grand bathroom boasted a separate bathtub and a lavish walk-in drench-style shower, finished with his and hers wash basins.

“The Kulm Hotel St. Moritz defies seasonal boundaries.”

Venturing into the realm of relaxation, the Kulm Spa St. Moritz beckoned us with its luxurious expanse spanning 2000 square meters. More than a spa, it embodied a sanctuary where the senses were revitalised. The aroma of fine pine wood merged with the breathtaking vista of Lake St. Moritz, creating an ambiance of unparalleled tranquility. The spa's offerings were abundant, including a huge Indoor Pool, Open-Air Pool, Whirlpool, Children's Pool, Salt Water Grotto, Steam Baths, Finnish Sauna, Bio-Sauna For Women, Infrared Cabin, Kneipp Footpath, and a relaxation Lounge and lastly a fully equipped gym catered to the fitness enthusiasts among us.

A team of professionals curate personalised treatments, tailored to individual preferences. The therapeutic touch of natural products or the application of cutting-edge high-tech ingredients catered to diverse needs. Our experience was elevated by the 50-minute Lymphatic Drainage treatment—a symphony of relaxation that left us rejuvenated and prepared for the day's adventures.

Culinary enthusiasts are spoiled for choice at the Kulm Hotel's six exceptional restaurant offerings. The Grand Restaurant offers a refined dining experience, while The Pizzeria, delights its guests with authentic Italian flavours. Local Engadine specialties took centre stage at Chesa al Parc, while our personal favourite, the Kulm Country Club, married innovation with authenticity, promising an unforgettable gastronomic journey.

Delving into the history, Kulm Hotel St. Moritz unveiled a captivating narrative. Its inception in 1856 marked the birth of hospitality in St. Moritz, as it beckoned travellers to partake in summer spa retreats and painting sojourns. Johannes Badrutt, the visionary owner, catalysed St. Moritz's transformation into a winter haven in 1864, thereby initiating a legacy of winter tourism. The hotel, resort, and Switzerland itself celebrated 150 years of this cherished tradition in the 2014/15 season. While the Kulm Hotel has undergone evolution over the decades through expansion and refurbishments, its unparalleled location and awe-inspiring views have stood the test of time.

The concierge team emerged as the crown jewel of the Kulm Hotel experience. Their unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction went above and beyond. These adept professionals seamlessly guided guests through their stay, offering invaluable suggestions and recommendations that transformed each visit into an impeccable experience.

The Kulm Hotel St. Moritz defies seasonal boundaries, emerging as a destination that flourishes under the summer sun. A repository of elegance, history, and relaxation, it beckons travellers to indulge in the finest facets of life while surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Swiss Alps.
