Having previously visited Hakkasan, we were excited to be revisiting. We have dined at various Hakkasan locations, and have been equally as impressed.

Much like our last visit we were greeted warmly. There is always a relaxed yet busy vibe to this restaurant, and being in Beverly Hills there is also a very upmarket buzz. After enjoying the cocktails last time, we couldn't resist sampling a couple more.

We had a 'Bitter Fortune', a punchy cocktail made with a blend of Tanqueray 10 Gin, Aperol, Grapefruit, Rhubarb and Lime. Very refreshing and certainly hit the mark. We also had a 'Plum Sour', which was shaken together with Yamazaki 12 Yrs Japanese Whisky, Choya Umeshu Plum Liqueur, Lemon Juice, Angostura Bitters and Pasteurized Egg White. An eclectic blend of flavours that tasted superb.

With the tone already set for a wonderful evening we ordered a bottle for our table. We choose a 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, Justin Vineyard, Paso Robles, California. This was a nice touch to enjoy a wine procured just a few miles away. It's a medium bodied wine, with some strong notes of dark fruits.

"A must for anyone looking to visit somewhere with incredible amounts of style."

The first course was swiftly bought out. We had the Crispy Duck Salad with Pomegranate, Pine Nut and Shallot. The duck was tender and full of flavour, well complimented by the other flavours. Along with the Pan-seared Scallop with Mango, which was equally as delicious. Both dishes were excellently presented and didn't disappoint on flavour.

Our main dishes were Wok-fried Lamb Tenderloin with Preserved Bean Curd and Ginger. The wok-fried lamb was simply delicious, the ginger gave the dish just enough of a kick while not being overpowering. My partner had the Steamed California Sea Prawns with Chili and Vermicelli. A more fiery flavour, but again the delivery of the flavours were spot on. We had a side of Egg and Scallion Fried Rice too, rounding off the meals perfectly.

The food was so delicious we couldn't pass on dessert. We had a Coconut Panna Cotta with Rum-roasted Pineapple, Pistachio Financier, and Pistachio Gelato. An excellent example of a panna cotta, it doesn't get much better. And, a Chocolate Mandarin with Chocolate Savarin, Orange Frozen Yogurt, Mandarin Pâte de Fruit, a wonderfully fruity dessert, very delicious.

Being a revisit and an equally enjoyable evening it's obvious that Hakkasan is consistently excellent. This is a must for anyone looking to visit somewhere with incredible amounts of style.
