Rose Rabbit Lie is a new addition to the Cosmopolitan Hotel, Las Vegas, and what a fine addition it is indeed. The fun concept of Rose Rabbit Lie is highly innovative, and offers an experience I can only describe as theatrical dining.

Although the general concept of dining is fairly traditional, at Rose Rabbit Lie, you get the further addition of various performers popping up sporadically throughout the evening. Along with a live band, upon our arrival there was a lady escaping from a suitcase balanced on the piano. Next up, we saw two men tap dancing their way around the restaurant, followed by a burlesque dancer swinging from the ceiling.

“The experience Vegas has been crying out for!”

The entertainment is certainly there to enhance your meal, however, and not to distract from it, as the food offering at Rose Rabbit Lie is very good - as we were about to find out; but first up, cocktails…

We started with a gin and absinthe based Monkey Glad, mixed with pomegranate nectar, and orange foam. Following which, we enjoyed a Floradora Imperial Cocktail (named after the famous Broadway musical), which saw cognac mixed with raspberry, lime and black tea, topped with sparkling wine. And finally, we chose to sample a The Milk Twain - a blend of scotch, lemon, bitters, and star anise.

We then moved on to enjoy a couple of small plates, we chose the Beet Salad with Yogurt, Balsamic, Mache, and Candied Hazelnut; and the Brussels Sprouts with Crispy Chicken Skin, Manchego, and Spanish Smoked Paprika.

The food was delicious, and paired with the atmosphere and entertainment; the evening was very enjoyable indeed. If there’s anywhere that this restaurant is best placed, then that’s certainly in Las Vegas. Be sure to check it out when you’re next there.
