Hyde can be found inside the world famous Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. This cocktail lounge provides possibly the best seats in the house for those wanting to experience the Bellagio fountains in style. Hyde also transforms into a nightclub on certain nights throughout the week, the place comes alive with dancing, and the cocktails flow.
We chose to check out Hyde on a more chilled occasion, so that we were able to make the most of sampling their cocktail creations.
On the day we chose to visit, the atmosphere at Hyde was buzzy, yet relaxed, and we instantly felt at home as we settled in to make our cocktail choices.
This cocktail lounge provides possibly the best seats in the house.
Up first, we had a Burning Mango, which combined orange vodka with freshly pressed lemon and mango juices, along with peach bitters, and jalapeos. This cocktail was served shaken, on the rocks, and offered a gorgeous fruity blend with a bitter kick, and a spicy end note.
The next cocktail we sampled was a Love Unit, which has previously been featured in the New York Times. This cocktail sees vodka blended with vanilla vodka, Thai basil, freshly pressed lime, grapefruit, and hand extracted bell pepper. This cocktail is served shaken, straight up. The pepper juices really make this cocktail, which on first taste is interesting, and at last taste, youll simply want another.
Up next, we went for a Cucumber Watermelon Margarita, which is pretty close to its names sake - tequila based with cucumber and watermelon flavours, served shaken and long. A simple, but very well executed cocktail, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Finally, we sampled a Passion Fruit Sunset - a take on the classic Tequila Sunrise, with tequila, passion fruit puree, ginger syrup and passion fruit foam. Again, simple, but very well done; we were very impressed.
We would certainly recommend that you visit Hyde whilst in Las Vegas, the cocktails were superb, and the setting fantastic. We are very much looking forward to our next visit.
