A picturesque retreat in the heart of the rainforest and just a few minutes from Byron Bay, Byron at Byron Resort and Spa makes for a relaxing break. Our spa suite was located in the forest, in a separate outer building. The suite itself was on the second floor and was of a good size.
The suite included an open plan living area complete with a dining table, a small kitchen, and washing facilities for those enjoying a longer stay. There was a separate bedroom and a lovely bathroom with the most gorgeous bath along with a walk-in shower.
“The Byron at Byron provides piece and tranquility in beautiful surroundings.”
Our suite also included a front and rear facing balcony. Being in the forest it would have been more enjoyable had the balconies been open rather than inside a cage, but with that being said it was still a nice space to enjoy the surroundings. The resort is also a short walk to the beach, which is incredibly beautiful and unspoilt. We enjoyed a number of walks along this beautiful coastline, and if you’re visiting at the right time of the year you might even be lucky enough to spot some dolphins.
As far as other facilities go, The Byron has its own spa offering a range of pampering treatments, a small gym with complimentary yoga classes in the morning and a good size outdoor pool surrounded by sun loungers. The public areas are nicely designed, and very comfortable to relax in with a coffee or an early evening glass of wine before dining at The Restaurant at The Byron. You can sit on the decking overlooking the pool and rain forest, it’s a special sight not found at many spots in the world.
