A veteran hotelier with over 27 years of hospitality industry experience, Mr Wagner joined Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 2007 as General Manager of the award- winning Mandarin Oriental, Munich.
During his five years in Munich, he oversaw the comprehensive renovation of the hotel’s signature suites and rooms along with its guest facilities and successfully positioned Mandarin Oriental, Munich as the leading luxury hotel in Germany.
Prior to joining Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Mr Wagner was the General Manager of InterContinental Paris Le Grand Hotel, Opening Resort Manager for Four Seasons Resort Provence and Opening Hotel Manager for Four Seasons Hotel Prague. Before this, he held a variety of senior management positions, including Director of Food & Beverage at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Chicago, a Four Seasons hotel, and at Grand Hyatt Erawan, Bangkok.
Mr Wagner is a German national and is fluent in English, German and French. He holds a Diploma in Hotel Administration (Hotelkaufmann) from the Hotel School in Hamburg. |

| Mr Wagner also is a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs association and a member of the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne. He is a passionate results-focused senior manager who is entrepreneurial and hands-on while keeping guests, employees and owners in mind. He is very familiar with project management, following time lines and putting structures in place. |

Arrogance, Disrespect, When People do not pay attention to detail.
Greed - If all your food fantasies came true what would be on your Plate?
Truffled Brie de Meaux with Mesclun Salad and a Bottle of Cabernet Deja Vu.
Sloth - What do you do to unwind?
A good round of golf.
Pride - What are you most proud of?
My wife for making me the person I am. My children for their amazing achievements and personalities, and my staff in the hotel for running the hotel on a day to day basis by delighting constantly our guests.
Lust - Is there anything that you are still lusting to achieve?
A hole in one.
Envy - who are you most envious of?
The spirit of Envy can destroy, it can never build" (Margaret Thatcher).
Gluttony - have you ever over indulged?
I can never overindulge in enough when I do my regular weekend trips together with my son Ryan to airport runways wherever we are: To spot planes take off and landing, hear the sound of Rolls Royce engines, see their speed and feel the power. That gets us so excited... Just like my ultimate passion for my hotel and my colleagues.
