Les Saisons is another restaurant located at the Kempinski Grand Hôtel des Bains. It has a large dining room and featured a live pianist on the evening we dined, a pleasant surprise that we were not expecting. Adorned with wonderful white linen table cloths, there was remarkable relaxed atmosphere.

Although it's not a fine dining restaurant with extravagant cuisine, it's a lovely place to spend the evening and the service was faultless. We ordered a bottle of Pian Di Nova, toscana, 2010 to enjoy with our meal. An intense ruby red wine with a rich woody, spicy flavour, great with meat dishes.

To begin we ordered the Soup of Garden Cress with Organic Yogurt from Bergell, a very interesting and palatable soup. We also decided on the Bouillon of Beef with Oxtail Ravioli and Root Vegetable. Another superbly prepared dish.

"It's a lovely place to spend the evening and the service was faultless."

Les Saisons is known for their steaks and cuts of meat, so we thought it only appropriate to sample. I ordered a 200g Swiss Primgourmet Beef Filet with Lemon Butter Sauce, which was absolutely supreme, cooked to perfection, packed with flavour and the Lemon Butter worked very well. My partner ordered the 300g Corn Feed US Prime Beef Black Angus Rib Eye Steak, with Pepper Sauce. Another superb steak, we both really enjoyed our meals and were happy to finish every last mouthful. We accompanied our dishes with sides of Potato Puree, and Green Asparagus.

With such a tempting dessert menu we were happy to sample a couple of desserts. We had the Creme Caramel with Red Wine Plum Ragout and Yogurt Ice Cream, a lovely, indulgent dessert. We also ordered the Ice Meringue with Vanilla Cream and Fresh Wild Berries. The desserts symbolised a wonderful end to a wonderful evening.

I recommend dining at Les Saisons for anyone staying at Kempinski Grand Hôtel des Bains or in St. Moritz, I would happily return.
