We had high expectations when it came to our most recent stay at the Saint James Hotel in Paris. Remembering the wonderful château façade is enough to evoke feelings of nostalgia, and we could hardly wait to return once again.
Stepping inside the hotel, we were immediately reminded of the sensational glamour of this hotel. This hotel really holds a wonderful sense of style and immaculate design, with the lobby boasting a wonderful curved double staircase, which is illuminated by the gorgeous crystal chandeliers suspended from the ceiling.
It’s no wonder this hotel is the home of one of the most exclusive private membership clubs in Paris. You’d be hard pushed to get into the Saint James Hotel should you not be a paying guest. The air of secrecy adds to the exclusive ambience of this hotel, and its rich history can be felt wherever you go.

We were greeted as old friends upon arrival, effortlessly checked in, and shown to our favourite room - The Music Suite. This suite is just so beautiful; we couldn’t resist staying in this room once more. With the baby grand piano taking centre stage, this suite is perfectly suited to musicians and music lovers alike.
The décor of the room is in keeping and luxurious, from the illustrated wall paper, to the antique furnishings and the conservatory lounge area with a glass roof, where you can sit bathing in the light of Paris whilst you relax.
When exploring the delights of this hotel, you simply must pay a visit to the library which boats thousands of the most wonderful classic titles you could imagine. Take a drink with you and spend an hour or so browsing the books which ooze history and stories in abundance. The library truly is a special place to be.
The hotel’s new restaurant is home to Head Chef Jean-Luc Rocha, M.O.F, who boasts one Michelin Star. There is no better dining destination whilst staying at the Saint James Hotel; where you can enjoy delightful authentic French cuisine.
The hotel also boasts a gorgeous spa, which offers an impressive selection of treatments. The spa is a must-visit after a day of Parisian sight-seeing, to unwind and truly relax into your surroundings.
We were once again thoroughly blown away by our stay at the Saint James Hotel. It truly is a very special hotel, and one that we thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere truly unique to stay in Paris.
