Another hotel in Paris for those looking to enjoy a city break with a Parisian feel is Hotel Bel Ami. The hotel is in the perfect location to explore the Saint Germain region of the city, there are several chic boutiques and restaurants nearby, giving you plenty to do throughout the day and into the evening. At the same time, it's noticeably hidden away from the high tourist areas, and in fact the hotel itself is situated on a quiet side street.

The hotel is a 19th Century building that was once a flourishing printing factory. Today it has been wonderfully redesigned, and has had input from well-known hotel designer Philippe Maidenberg. There is a 1960's feel and style to the hotel upon entering, it's a well presented classic decor with a trendy contemporary edge.

“There is more than enough to keep you interested within the hotel.”

Our suite was very welcoming and comfortable. It had some great views over the rooftops of St. Germain, a very picturesque Paris type of view you'd expect from this wonderful city. You could actually see the Cathedral spire from the huge bathtub that takes the focal point of the bathroom.

The bedroom and living areas were very well presented, the decor was trendy with a mix of colours and interesting styles. It made for a super night's sleep, and a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Other facilities in the hotel include a small gym, spa facilities, and a restaurant and bar. There is more than enough to keep you interested within the hotel if you're avoiding the touristy aspect of Paris, we certainly had a very enjoyable time.

We would stay at the Hotel Bel Ami again without a doubt. All of the staff were very welcoming, the service was absolutely top notch and it was a pleasure to be a guest.
