Once we passed through customs at Melbourne airport we had some time before our flight and decided to experience the Singapore Airlines Lounge. Making use of lounge’s in airports is always a choice of ours, it’s much calmer than the chaos of the main airport.
The Singapore Airlines Lounge was a good size, with rows of comfortable seating. One side was for the Business Class passengers, and the other for the First Class. The appearance was simple and clean, and had a corporate feel to it.
There are super compfortable lounging chairs with mini work stations attached for those looking to get on with some work. Along with ample plug sockets to charge devices, complimentary WiFi, and a range of complimentary beverages and light bites.
“We were well looked after in the Singapore Airlines Lounge.”
There is a good range of food available. From hot breakfast choices such as bacon, eggs and toast, to cold buffet food and other snacks. The bar is also well stocked, so you won’t be left wanting for anything. There are other nice touches like large flat screen TV’s on the walls, and a newspaper rack with the day’s news.
The staff were friendly, always checking that we didn’t want anything else. They keep everyone in the lounge up-to-date with flight announcements and are happy to answer any questions. We were well looked after in the Singapore Airlines Lounge while waiting for our flight and wouldn’t hesitate to drop by again.
