La Dolce Vita is an Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills. This restaurant holds a wealth of history, a candlelit ambiance, and an authentic style from the Rat Pack era. It’s pretty unique, and there is nowhere else in Hollywood like this. Frank Sinatra used to dine here and there is a booth named after him and other famous faces from that generation. The service was lively and there are a number of traditional dishes which failed to disapoint.

We started our evening with an aperitif, two glasses of Le Colture Fagher Brut Spumante, Prosecco di Valdobbiadene DOCG, Italy.

To begin we started with an antipasti, I ordered the Arancini with Crispy Risotto and Buffalo Mozzarella, Fontina, Spicy Marinara, and Fried Sage. The Risotto had the perfect creamy consistency, and the Marinara gave this dish a nice kick. My partner ordered the Crispy Tender Calamari, served with a Marinara, another superb dish, authentic both in taste and presentation.

For our pasta course I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese with al Dente Spaghetti, in a rich Bolognese Sauce. This is Spaghetti Bolognese at its finest, I can’t fault this dish and enjoyed every mouthful. My partner ordered the Penne Burrata, with Fresh Pomodoro Sauce, Garlic, Basil and Melted Burrata. An equally delicious dish, the Burrata was simply divine, and we were both eagerly looking forward to what was coming out of the kitchen next.

“We couldn’t have asked for any more from your evening at La Dolce Vita.”

For our main course I ordered the “Steak Sinatra”, this was a Prime Filet Mignon with Sauteed Peppers and Salsa Verde. Being named after the great Sinatra it simply had to be an excellent dish, and it was. The Filet tasted superb, the chef prepared the steak perfectly. My partner ordered Pan Seared Alaskan Halibut alla Checca, with Baby Purple Artichokes. The Halibut was delicious, well-seasoned and once again we cannot fault this. We also added sides of Roasted Baby Squash, with a Four Cheese Blend and Marinara, and Spinach Sauteed with Toasted Garlic and Olive Oil.

Our chosen wine for the evening was a 2006, Il Molino di Grace ‘Il Margone’, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, Italy. A ruby red wine with notes of Caramelised Plums and hints of Spices and Cranberries.

We couldn’t have asked for any more from your evening at La Dolce Vita. After such a positive experience I’m sure we will return in the future.
