We visited Crustacean in Beverly Hills last year and were very impressed, so we were keen to visit and sample some more dishes from their menu. The food was equally as impressive this visit, the service was just as friendly, and we left more than satisfied.

The décor and the atmosphere in the Crustacean really sets the experience apart from other restaurants. We really enjoyed dining here, and there is a unique feeling to the whole experience.

We decided to start the evening with a couple of cocktails. We had a ‘Pink Louts’, which is mixed with a sweet blend of Cotton Candy, Vodka, Orange, Fresh Pink Grapefruit juice and Blueberries. A very punchy and refreshing cocktail. As well as a cocktail simply called a ‘Beverly’, which comprised of a fruity blend of Peach Vodka, Orange, Lime, Pomegranate and Sugar Syrup. One for the sweet toothed among us, but very delicious.

“We look forward to returning again in the future.”

To start we had Lemongrass Chicken, served Grilled and Skewered, with Asian Herbs, and Pickled Vegetables. A simple dish, with simple flavours. Our other starter was a Short Rib Char Siu, which was Beef on a Stick, served with Ginger Port Wine Glaze and Char Siu Sauce. Another delicious dish, with strong Asian flavours and simple presentation.

Our main dishes were the Rack of Lamb, a Chardonay Flambe, with Potatoes and Vegetables. The Lamb was superb, well-seasoned and cooked just how I like it. My partner had the Filet Mignon, the dish looked as delicious as it tasted. With Ponzu Glaze, Leek Mashed Potato, Portobello Mushrooms, Cipollini and Onions. The filet was divine, an experience we’d happily repeat.

We enjoyed a bottle of Dauman Cotes du Rhone, 2009 throughout the evening which complimented the meals perfectly. We look forward to returning again in the future, and definitely recommend Crustacean if you’re in the Beverly Hills area.
