Amaranto is located inside the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane. We began with pre-dinner cocktails in the Amaranto Bar which is a wonderful way to start your evening. Amaranto is an Italian restaurant that delivers both divine Italian cuisine, along with charming Italian service.

Starting with the pre-dinner cocktails in the Amaranto Bar, I ordered the Grape and Sage cocktail. This was mixed with Hendrick's Gin, Fresh Grapes, Fresh Sage, Lime, Champagne, Saint Germaine, Elderflower Liquor and Homemade Sugar. The flavours blended seamlessly to make an incredibly refreshing drink. My partner sampled the Lychee Rose and Hibiscus cocktail. Which was mixed with Belvedere Vodka, Lychee Liqueur and Purée, Hibiscus and Blackcurrant Cordial, Lime Juice and Rose Essence. A sweet and delicious cocktail.

“A must visit for all lovers of fine Italian food.”

We began our evening with Pan Fried Wild Sea Bass, this was served with Black Eyed Beans, Fennel and Kale. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection, I enjoyed every mouthful. My partner ordered the Roasted Lamb Loin, with Pistachio Crust, Cauliflower Purée and Aubergine. We had no problems finishing off this dish and sending the plate back clean. The Lamb was tender and flavoursome, and the Cauliflower Purée complimented the dish very well. We added sides of Duck Fat Roasted Potatoes and Wilted Garlic Spinach, each dish was faultless.

We ended the evening by sharing a Sticky Toffee and Banana Pudding with Salted Caramel Fudge Sauce and Milk Ice Cream. This was an enjoyable sharing experience, and a nice take on a classic dessert. Our chosen wine for the evening was Chianti Classico Riserva, Cecchi, Italy 2012. A wine best described as warm, fruity, mellow and dry. This worked perfectly with our dishes and we were quite disappointed to see the end of the bottle.

Amaranto sets the scene for a wonderful evening and delivers with a nice selection of Italian dishes. This is a must visit for all lovers of fine Italian food.
