Koi Las Vegas is located inside Planet Hollywood. Immediately the restaurant stands out as well designed, with a good spacious layout. We have visited Koi Las Vegas many times over the years and have yet to leave dissapointed.

We started the evening with a couple of pre-dinner cocktails. I had the Lychee Martini, mixed with Kai Lychee Vodka, Lychee Puree and Cranberry. Im a big fan of Lychee, and this mixed with Vodka makes for a lovely drink. We also had a Berry Bliss Gin, made with Raw Agave, Pomegranate Juice and Raspberries. Fruity and satisfying.

We have yet to leave dissapointed.

To begin we ordered Koi Crispy Rice, Topped with Spicy Tuna. A simple, tasty, and light dish to start with. We also ordered a Kobe Style Potstickers Spicy Soy dish, it was just spicy enough to get the palate stimulated without being overpowering.

Moving on we ordered Grilled Lamb Chops, with Ichimi Glaze, and Shishito Potato Mash. The Lamb was lovely, very tender and sat on a bed of soft mash. My partner ordered the Peppercorn Filet Mignon with Plum Wine Reduction. An equally enjoyable dish, the peppercorns gave the dish a strong flavour. We also added a side of Kimchee Fried Rice.

Our chosen wine for the evening was Yalumba Shiraz, 2013, South Australia. We fancied a ripe berry wine with a fruity nose to complement our main dishes, and it didnt disappoint. Pairing a wine that accentuates the flavours of a dish is highly rewarding.

Even though it had been a few years since our last visit, it felt like no time at all. We always enjoy dining at the Koi when were in Vegas, and will continue to whenever were in town and we suggest you do the same.
