The Four Seasons in Hampshire is set in a Grade 1 listed Georgian manor house that would be impressive for its history alone. As well as being the residence of the Bishops of Bath and Wells and being mentioned in the Doomsday Book, the hotel was also the meeting place of Prince Arthur and Catherine of Aragon, before her marriage to King Henry VIII.

With this wealth of history, the Four Seasons, Hampshire, is an extremely attractive visitor destination, even without the beauty of the hotel; which embodies the near impossible balance of remaining true to its history, whilst incorporating modern day luxury touches and notably excellent service.

"It's rare that you find a hotel that combines luxury, relaxation and pampering with historic culture..."

The Four Seasons is comprised of four wings; the Manor House itself and an additional three wings, which have been added over time. We stayed in a Manor Room. Manor Rooms are situated within the restored Georgian manor house itself and boast views over the beautiful courtyard. It was gorgeous!

The country house décor of our room made the experience feel as if we were staying in our own private country house; it was very comfortable. My favourite part of the room simply has to be the bathroom. It was very spacious, with a claw-foot bathtub as well as a separate shower, and the Asprey products were well in keeping with the luxury feel of the whole hotel. It was hard not to spend the entire stay in the fluffy terry cloth robe provided!

Dining was also a delight at the Four Seasons, Hampshire. Seasons, is one oft he highest acclaimed restaurants in the area, however, if it’s hearty, traditional bistro food you’re after, you can relax in Bar 1086 to enjoy a delicious meal.

I also must mention the spa... Located in one of the newer wings, the spa boasts everything you could need for the ultimate pampering experience. There is a very sizable gym, as well as an indoor swimming pool leading to an outdoor vitality pool. They also offer a vast selection of beauty and spa treatments, and boast excellent tennis courts. It is certainly something to write home about.

The spa is wonderful, however, if you’re feeling a little more active, the Four Seasons, Hampshire, has the ability to arrange a wealth of different activities for you to try. As well as an equestrian centre, the Four Seasons offers clay pigeon shooting; and they will even kit you out in everything you could possibly need to enjoy a great time shooting.

In fact, it’s not only the excellent facilities at the Four Seasons, Hampshire, which cater for your every need, indeed, this level of service is also reflected in the friendly and efficient approach of the staff. Very smartly dressed and always on hand to take care of any request, the staff of the Four Seasons, Hampshire, are a certainly an asset to this lovely hotel.

It's rare that you find a hotel that combines luxury, relaxation and pampering with historic culture, and for that, I cannot recommend the Four Seasons, Hampshire, highly enough.
