Hotel La Tour is located just a few steps from Birmingham city centre in an ideal location to explore the city. You have easy access to the Bullring shopping centre and the Hippodrome Theatre. Hotel La Tour is a modern hotel, offering guests a touch of luxury and calm away from the busy streets nearby.

We visited the hotel in its opening period and have always had fond memories so we were keen to revisit and find out if they hotel has managed to retain those first impressions.

“A touch of luxury and calm.”

We are pleased to say we left equally as impressed. We love the interior design throughout the hotel, and on this occasion we experienced one of their Superior Rooms. It’s not an overly spacious room but it’s well designed and appointed. We made use of the espresso machine while relaxing in the living area which was most enjoyable. The bathroom is the highlight of the room for us. It’s a good size and wonderfully designed with a Villeroy & Boch oversized bath along with a large separate walk-in shower.

The hotel is also home to Mr White’s English Chophouse. This is Marco Pierre White’s first Chophouse and they serve some interesting classic British dishes with a little French flair. The hotel also has a cocktail bar and a good sized gym. The only negative point we can find is that they don’t have their own car park, there are however several car parks within a five minute walk.

With a great location and luxurious rooms, staying at Hotel La Tour is a pleasure. The staff are always happy to help, and we left with more fond memories from our stay.
