Blinq is a trendy place to be in a city full of trendy places to be. Amsterdam is a cool city, and Blinq does it justice. It’s a bar, restaurant and club, and is chic, sleek if not unique.

It was the first bar I went to, and I must say, it was a great start to my trip. The staff were friendly, the clientele a cut-above, and the music was excellent. Even though it wasn’t a weekend, it was still busy inside. The vibe was lively, but nice and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

I found Blinq by accident. I was in the mood for cocktails, and it looked like a place that could satisfy that need. I had a good time while I was there. The choice isn’t that amazing, however the cocktails I had were fantastic. I love drinks made with fresh fruit, and here I was able to order just that.

I ordered the vanilla berry crush, which is vodka with fresh berries and vanilla. Unlike the UK, you get a generous portion of vodka here. No sticking to measures like glue, and so after the fourth drink I thought it was best to leave and explore the rest of Amsterdam!
